SMPTE 304 signal

The SMPTE 304 standard defines a type of connector for use in the connection between the camera and its control unit (Control Camera Unit: CCU) for Broadcast and professional high-definition video systems combining electrical and optical signals (copper and fiber) .

The SMPTE 304 connector connects to a cable also built under the SMPTE standard, in this case SMPTE311. Said cable is made up of: 2 monomode fibers, 2,4 or 8 power conductors, 2 low voltage conductors

Different installations, different adaptations

Below, the different models of SMPTE 304 signal adaptations manufactured, most of the time made tu measure, by customer request. Different ways of splicing the wiring, different formats, different ways of connection…

SPLICE ENCLOSURE SMPTE 304 BY CONNECTION
  • Front panel with 30º inclination with up to 8 SMPTE 304 connectors
  • Rear panel with cable gland for inserting the installation wiring.
  • Inner box with inner panel and LC and/or SC connectors and barrel-type AMP (MATE-N-LOK) terminals.
  • Wiring connection: by connection
  • Ease of replacement of SMPTE connectors, reducing time.
  • Greater protection of electrical and optical connections
SPLICE ENCLOSURE SMPTE 304 BY FUSION
  • Front panel up to 8 SMPTE 304 connectors
  • Rear panel with cable gland for inserting the installation wiring.
  • Inner box with inner panel and LC and/or SC connectors and barrel-type AMP (MATE-N-LOK) terminals.
  • Wiring connection: by fiber fusion and copper connection.
  • For fusion experts, easier installation.
  • Avoids the use of barrel fiber connectors for splicing
PATCH PANEL MODULAR FOR SMPTE 304 ADAPTORS
  • Front panel up to 6 SMPTE 304 modules
  • Rear side with individual modular box for each SMPTE connector with LC and/or SC connectors and barrel-type AMP (MATE-N-LOK) terminals.
  • Inside the box there is no access to the inside of the box
  • Wiring connection: by connection
  • Modular and individual protection of each connector
ADAPTATOR SMPTE 304 BOX
  • Front side 1 SMPTE 304 connector
  • Rear side  LC and/or SC connectors and barrel-type AMP (MATE-N-LOK) terminals
