CEU University | CEFAS
CEU CEFAS (Centro de Estudios de la Fundación Universitaria San Pablo CEU) is an educational institution that focuses on different aspects of communication, philosophy and social sciences.
Within its facilities, CEU CEFAS has Television stations, a Radio studio, an Editing room and Multimedia classes.
Equipped with cutting-edge technology, including high definition cameras, professional lighting systems and sound equipment, they allow students to experiment with all stages of the television creation process, from planning and recording to editing.
TB AT and Wall Rack floor boxes for: TV sets and Hall of Events
“The connection boxes were needed to provide XLR connections for the press in the auditorium, and to allow for connection and interaction between the three studios.”
As Jesús Coronel, CEO of Rekord Broadcast, the company in charge of audiovisual integration at the university, explains: “The installation of connection boxes in the auditorium aims to facilitate access to audio and video connections, specifically with XLR connectors for use by press equipment. This allows for easy integration at events where direct interaction with the media is required. Similarly, interconnection between rooms is crucial so that each room can operate independently while simultaneously sharing resources and signals in real time.”
At the request of Rekord Broadcast, the following were manufactured for installation in the main studio, portable studio and auditorium: on the one hand, Wall Rack boxes REF. PTRT0131: prepared to be hung on the wall with XLR, BNC and RJ45 connections (with door + key) and, on the other hand, TB AT boxes REF. PTRS2071 to be recessed into the floor with XLR male and female, BNC, RJ45 and Shucko connections.

OpticalCon patch panels (terminated with cable at the other end) and BNC, RJ45, and XLR connectors were installed in a 6U rack cabinet with a glass door. This installation not only protects the equipment but also provides a tidy appearance for the cabling and installed devices. This configuration allows for easy access for maintenance and connection management.
