The Decibel is a logarithmic relationship between two numbers. It is a widely used in telecommunications unit. We can see it when it is indicated measurements as: Gain or Attenuation of a device, Signal Noise Ratio (SNR), Common Mode Rejection Ratio (CMRR), etc.
For dB derivatives see: dBu, dBW, dBm, dBV, dBSPL or the WHITE PAPER: “The Decibel”.
