This measurement indicates output level of a device which is stimulated with different frequencies ((for audio, from 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz) at a given input level. A “flat response” describes the graphic shape when the device has the same response in all range, with slope ‘0’ and very small variations.
A “flat response” is the ideal response when a device is required to operate at the same level at all frequencies.
