The RGB signal is a video signal representing the colour Red- Green- Blue, the primary colours of television. Usually called a component video signal, as it is divided into its component colours. When these analogue signals are carried separately, better image resolution is achieved.
These signals can be carried by separate cables in a multicore or as multiple cables. These cables can be: [Y, R-Y, B-Y ] or [Y, Pb, Pr] or [ YUV ] or VGA, SVGA, SGA etc.
Three coaxial cables are used to transmit the signal components. The horizontal and vertical synchronizing signals ( H and V ) are carried out, usually along with the video signal ‘ Green ‘ through the Green coaxial. But for more control you can use a single coaxial signal for this signal, ie, 4 coaxial cables in total : RGBS or with 5 coaxial (coax cable for each signal ) : RGBHV .
