In a cable with one end in RCA and the other in XLR, we are using an unbalanced connection (RCA) at one end and a balanced connection (XLR) at the other end. For these connections to be adapted and the audio signal to be transmitted correctly from one end to the other, the cable configuration must be taken into account.

When wiring the RCA as an unbalanced connector (positive to the tip, ground to the body) to the balanced XLR, we follow the AES14-1992 (R2009) standard: link pins 1 and 3.
