Success story
CaixaForum Valencia
Inside the Caixa Forum building in Valencia, located in the city’s Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències and designed by the well-known architect Santiago Calatrava, is the auditorium of the emblematic space where conferences, debates, days of reflection are held…
“The aim was to provide the auditorium with connectivity, interconnecting different locations with the main system, both video and audio”
As Francisco Gómez from BGL Audiovisual (the company in charge of audiovisual integration) comments, the auditorium’s connectivity was provided with flush-mounted Wall rack Ins Door boxes with door, Wall rack boxes without door and TB AT floor boxes, a multiple switch for the 100 V speaker line and an SMC 16 press splitter in portable briefcase format, so it can be used in the different spaces of the venue. On the other hand, RJ45 panels, XLR panels and fibre optic connection panels were supplied.

“They were easy to install, we know the product, they are a guarantee of ease when installing”
To connect signals to the wall, custom built-in audiovisual boxes with and without doors were installed. Something that characterizes this type of boxes is the ease of installation, as our client Francisco Gómez comments.
“When it comes to press splitters, we do not value other solutions, what works well is not touched”
In this case, our client required a portable press distributor to take to the different spaces of the Caixa Forum where press conferences are held. According to Francisco, the strong points of this SMC 16 distributor are its 16 outputs for the media, its potentiometer to adjust the output level and the good isolation between outputs.

Given our tailored approach to each client, the request in this case was the design and manufacture of a multiple switch for a 100 V speaker system, which required the ability to manually activate or deactivate the audio from each zone.
