OB van with SMPTE 304

OB van connectivity for EMCO Video Industrial: an I/O panel in the truck with six SMPTE 304 connections, where the Blackmagic URSA Broadcast cameras link to their CCUs. Through the connections covered by the SMPTE 304 (connector) and SMPTE 311 (cable) standards, we not only have a single-mode fiber connection, but we also have wiring for the camera power supply and connections for control and communication signals. All in a single cable of no more than 9.2mm.

Our customer EMCO Video Industrial has equipped an OB Van with SMPTE 304 connections for signal transmission from Blackmagic URSA Broadcast cameras and his CCU housed in the Mercedes Sprinter Van.

For a safe connection and transmission of signals, a panel with 6 SMPTE 304 connections was installed in the mobile unit, to which 6 Blackmagic cameras will be connected to their CCUs. These cameras can be located at a distance of up to 300 m (in this case, but the length can be extended up to 2 km). These long lengths of cable will be stored in APIL 18 and APIL 42 metal reels ensuring greater durability of this hybrid fiber and copper cable.
