It allows switching between two audio inputs (A or B) to a single output.
Connections are made via SUB-D 25 connectors that transmit 8 balanced audio channels each. It can be manufactured for 64 or 48 channels depending on the audio system.
It is an active device when switching to input B. The device passively maintains input A by default.
Equipment designed for Dolby Atmos systems for use in post-production studios.
