Success story

Sydney Opera House

The iconic building of the Sydney Opera House has five theaters: Concert Hall, Opera Theatre, Drama Theatre, Music Room and Studio Theatre. Rooms designed and built with the highest technical and architectural rigor.

Continuing with this technical rigor, Pinanson’s distribution equipment was used for the microphone signals that are transmitted in the grand opera.

The request for custom equipment made by the Director of Audiovisuals at the Sydney Opera House consisted of:

REF.: PTRS2628

A micro signal distributor with 1 isolated output (Recording) and 2 direct outputs (FOH and monitors), for 48 channels. Through LK connectors. Signal patching module using XLR connectors and AR box format to install in a 19″ rack.

REF.: PTRS0197

A micro signal distributor with 1 direct output (FOH) and 2 isolated outputs (recording and monitors) for 48 channels. Through EDAC connectors.

In addition to the necessary wiring for the connection of this equipment.

In this way, up to 48 microphone channels are distributed in the room from the stage to the monitor console and to the recording console (through 1 or 2 isolated outputs per transformer). All this with the advantage of being a product designed and manufactured to measure for our client.

In addition to outputs isolated by means of a transformer, the equipment has an individual Ground Lift switch for each channel, which in the event that there is a poor ground connection of the connected equipment or battery-powered equipment is used (a phenomenon that could result in loops and audible noise) pressing the Ground Lift button may fix this noise problem.
